Chameleon Consulting is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Phillip Engel (“Chameleon Consulting”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers both our consulting practice and the mobile applications we publish.
It is written in two parts. Part 1 covers the consulting practice — this website, booking a session, the partner referral programme, and the remote support sessions themselves. Part 2 covers Keep Me Out App Blocker, our Android app, and is the policy referenced from inside that app and from its Google Play listing.
The short version: we are a small practice, we collect as little as we can, we do not sell personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
We only hold what you hand to us or what is needed to arrange and deliver a session:
We do not run advertising, tracking pixels, analytics or third-party cookies on this website.
This is the part worth reading carefully, because it is the part where we may see the most.
Our sessions are delivered remotely over screen-sharing. During a session we may see whatever you choose to put on your screen — files, folders, emails, browser tabs, account settings, and in some cases credentials as you enter them. That is inherent to the work: we cannot help you clean up a machine or migrate an account without looking at it.
We do not record our sessions. We do not copy your files off your machine. We do not store your passwords, and we ask you to type credentials yourself rather than dictate them to us. You are in control of the screen throughout, and you can end the session or stop sharing at any moment.
Where a job requires access to an account of yours — a password manager, a cloud drive, an email account — we ask you to grant it in the moment, and we ask you to revoke it or change the credential when the work is finished. If we make notes to carry work across sessions, those notes describe the work, not your secrets.
We do not use your information to build a profile of you, and we do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.
We use a small number of third-party services to run the practice. They process information on our behalf, under their own privacy policies:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will disclose information only where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. You can ask to be removed from the partner programme, and you can unsubscribe from any email we send. Email support@chameleonconsulting.ai and we will action it. We will not treat you differently for asking.
Depending on where you live, you may have these rights under law — including the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the UK and EU GDPR. We extend them to everyone who asks, wherever you are.
We keep the number of systems holding your information small, use multi-factor authentication on the accounts that run the practice, and encrypt data in transit. No system is perfect, but a small surface is a defensible one.
Our services are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Keep Me Out App Blocker (“the app”) is an Android focus app published by Chameleon Consulting. It appears on your home screen under the shorter launcher label Keep Me Out. This part of the policy is the one linked from Settings → Privacy → Read the full policy inside the app, and from its Google Play listing.
The app has no account system, no server, and no analytics. Your sessions, your allowed apps and your settings never leave your phone. The only component that collects anything is Google AdMob, which serves the single banner advert on the home screen.
To do its job the app needs to see certain things. None of it is collected, stored off your device, or transmitted anywhere.
The name of the app currently in the foreground. Provided by the Android
accessibility service and/or usage access. The app compares it against your allowed list to
decide whether to show the focus shield. Only the package name (for example
com.example.app) is used. No screen content is read, recorded, stored
or transmitted at any time.
Which apps are installed. Read so the allowed-apps list can be shown. The app uses Android's scoped package queries rather than requesting broad access to your full app inventory.
How long you have spent in each app. Read from Android's usage statistics, with your permission, to rank your most-used apps when you are choosing what to allow during a session. This is read on demand, kept in memory only, and never written off the device.
Your session settings. Timer length, allowed apps and preferences are stored in Android's private app storage on your phone. They are not backed up to us, and are deleted when you uninstall.
Nothing. We operate no servers for the app and receive no data from it — including from purchases, which Google Play handles end to end.
The app offers one optional in-app purchase, which removes the banner advert. The payment is handled entirely by Google Play; we never see or receive your card details, address or any other payment information. The app asks Google Play only one question — whether this Google account owns the purchase — and stores that yes or no on your phone. Nothing about the purchase is sent to us, and there is no account to sign in to.
If you buy the removal, the app stops requesting adverts altogether and AdMob no longer collects anything.
The app shows one banner advert on its home screen, served by Google AdMob. AdMob is a third-party service with its own data practices, and it may collect and process:
This information is used by Google to select and measure adverts. It is collected by Google, not by us — we never receive it. Google's practices are described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Settings → Google → Ads on your phone, and opt out of ad personalisation there.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you will be asked for consent before personalised adverts are shown, and you can change that choice at any time from Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy choices inside the app.
If you buy the ad removal, no advert is requested and none of the above is collected.

You can revoke any of these in Android Settings at any time. Revoking one will stop the corresponding part of the app from working, but nothing else.
All app data lives in Android's private storage for the app on your device. Uninstalling it deletes that data. There is nothing held by us to request deletion of.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address (chameleonconsulting.ai/privacy) with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting the consulting practice will also be mentioned by email to active clients and partners.
